Dynasty Custom was the largest project I worked on at Lacrossewear. This was a complete overall of their previous sports and promotions company, NVIZIN Sports. Dynasty Custom is everything from sport uniforms and apparel design to custom tents and flags with custom services like dye sublimation, screen printing, embroidery, vinyl printing, cut & sew, and graphic design. My task was to give this new company name an identity. This entailed logo creation, visual branding, marketing guidelines, color theory, size and care labels, business stationery, email blasts, social media marketing, and most important, creating a website. DynastyCustom.com took the most time as it needed it’s own images, marketing, typography, etc. I used WordPress and Elementor to create the site, starting with a template that I eventually just replace all together. The website needed to convey everything Dynasty Custom would have to offer, including a vast ecommerce catalog of products and a 3D designer that users could create and submit their ideas as proposals. The whole project was done by a team of 4 while also maintaining our daily work routines at Lacrossewear.

My time at Lacrossewear has been quite fulfilling. I started as a graphic designer for custom sports uniforms and prepped those designs for sublimated printing using sizing layouts in Illustrator. I quickly became an Art Director leading a team of 4 and transitioning into more visual branding and web design. With the creation of the new global company, Dynasty Custom, I was tasked to refresh the Lacrossewear website using the updated branding guidelines. Lacrossewear.com received a completely new look and feel that I designed using Wordpress and Elementor. I would also set weekly tasks to myself & the other artists including apparel design, sizing/layout, social media campaigns, photo retouching, etc. I acted as a webmaster as well, creating tournament and team gear websites using Wix.com. This opportunity allowed me to develop more on my skillset while also gaining more experience in different areas of my degree.

The bulk of my work with World's Fastest Humans involved creating, producing, and quality controlling custom track and field uniforms. From the initial idea, to the mock up, to sizing layouts and printing, I was part of every step. I redesigned and maintained our company website through Shopify, as well as created ads for social media and email blasts.

I was very proud to design for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Through World's Fastest Humans I created full uniform designs for three different countries: Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, and Ghana. Seeing my uniforms on television was one of the highlights of my career.

Rise of the Carrs is my ongoing, (Star Wars-themed), life project. This is my way of cataloguing family life events. It started with my wedding in Oct 2021, where I designed and created a website along with digital invitations, thank you cards, seating chart and the overall feel of the wedding. The most recent update was the announcement of our first pregnancy. The website updates as our life grows and we partake in new adventures.

Tom Carr Designs is my self-titled Etsy/TeePublic store. I get to let my personality show and express my sense of humor. Here I have more freedom to bring my ideas to life and push the traditional corporate boundaries. Most of the designs were created with the intent of going on a shirt. Check out more!
